Crail Settlement Trust. This Trust was established by re-organizing and amalgamating a range of small trusts related to Crail administered by Fife Council. Settlement Trusts have effectively two funds within them – those which are restricted to purposes most closely related to the original trust, mainly poverty relief, and monies from non-charity trusts which can be used for any of the charitable purposes, including Prevention of Poverty, Advancement of Education, Advancement of Religion, Advancement of Health , Saving of Lives, Advancement of Citizenship, Advancement of Arts, Advancement of Public Participation in Sport, Provision of Recreational Facilities, Advancement of Human Rights, Promotion of Religious or Racial Harmony, Promotion of Equality, Advancement of Environmental Protection, and Advancement of Animal Welfare.
